Foosh/Buzz Bites 2.0

vroomcomboBefore you start, I’d like to point you Chris’ AWESOME review.  To avoid repeating things and thus being extremely lame and boring, you can check out his review to get the low down.  I was the second guinea pig of this experiment and have had some similar findings along with some sleepless nights.  Having fresh breath and the energy to be up all night long does have it’s advantages. ;)

My Story

My scenario goes like this, I get my package in the mail as I’m headed out the door to my daughter’s soccer practice.  We arrived at the field and I sent my daughter out to her practice.  I opened the package and inside were several packs of Foosh and a neat little tin filled with 6 Buzz bites.  I was now faced with a dilemma, which one do I try first?  I said screw it and tried the Buzz Bites first and then popped in a Foosh (who needs to blink anyway?).  I was then wide awake for the soccer practice, homework and my shower and some 360 gaming time and my midnight snack and a conversation with Pogre and my bedtime and then 2 hours after my bedtime.  I have a few people at work lined up to try some and I’ll probably add an update to this post at some point.  After the look on my face from trying the Buzz Bites, my wife respectfully declined to stand up and be counted.  It wasn’t a disgusted reaction as much as it was an unexpected reaction.  So I had to dig a little deeper to get some others to try it.  Much like Chris’ brother, my brother also stole a pack of Foosh from me and said he liked them a lot.  After consulting with my wife, he also would not try the Buzz Bites.

My Thoughts

These products definitely do the job of giving you some energy.  I didn’t feel fidgety, and at one time I was even stricken with the idea that there may be no caffeine in these.  Maybe I was sent them and told they have caffeine in them to see if I’d inflate the story.  I never felt hyper or buzzed but I absolutely noticed that I was not tired at all.  One night I stayed up until about 3 am and got up at 6:30 am.  I was awake all day and never went to bed the following night until almost 2 am.  It’s catching up to me now, but in short controlled bursts it could replace a mornin’ cuppa.

The bad rap the Buzz Bites had from my wife isn’t exactly fair.  She didn’t try them.  I was expecting a chocolaty or caramel taste.  However it’s more like a concentrated coffee flavor.  If you can drink your coffee black then you might not have a problem with these.  After my first Buzz Bite, the hair on my chest grew 2 inches.

Foosh, on the other hand, can easily be enjoyed by all no matter what your taste buds may say.  It has a neat little atomic symbol on the back of it, which I think is a nice touch.  It has a strong freshening power, clearing your nose of all mucous with every deep breath and giving your nasal cavity that clear cool feeling you only get from breathing cold mountain air.  I really liked them.  I’m not a mint person but I’m becoming one.

I’d recommend both of these products to anyone.  Especially those with a lot to do in a day.

What I’d like to see from Vroom!

- More flavors.  I’m sure this is coming and it would be a definite plus.

- Free T-Shirts!!  everyone loves them.

- Ditch the blister packs and go with collectible/funny tins instead.

- Keep up the good work.  The website is pretty funny and speaks the language of the people, not a corporate company.  Two thumbs up!

Thanks to Vroom Foods for the opportunity to check out this great product.  If you want to order some you can go order them here.  Give them a shot and let us know what you think.

Nice review dude. As you said, we pretty much felt the exact same things. :D I agree that it’s nice that these little products offer up a boost of energy, without a lot of the noticeable jitters or “coming down” associated with energy drinks.

I also agree with you completely on the taste of the Buzz Bites (minus the part about it tasting like coffee, for me it was more fake chocolate/caramelish).

One thing I was wondering though after trying to chocolate Buzz Bites, was the difference in the MINT Chocolate chews which I did not try. Do you think they taste any better and would be more palatable.

I didn’t get any Mint ones. Although I’m sure if the mint flavor was strong enough they would be tolerable. I didn’t mind the chocolate ones but I could only eat one. 6 would last me awhile.
