Scratch’s Top Ten Xbox Youtube vids!

I’ve spent more than a few nights “lost” on youtube.  It’s a classic case of one thing leads to another and next thing you know you spend all night trying to find the perfect video.  This isn’t a definitive list of what I think is the absolute best on youtube and it has no particular order.  I listed it as a top ten purely out of tradition.  I do, however, think you should check them out.  It will make you laugh, puke, say this is old, watch something new or keep you occupied for an hour or so……all in one post.  A first for BTG.  Enjoy! First Look into Halo: Reach

halo-reach-logoSince the first announcement of Bungie’s newest title in the works, Halo: Reach, any information about this game has been kept deep within the vault of Bungie’s deepest secrets. The only knowledge we have of this game is the story we know from the Halo novel Fall of Reach. If you aren’t familiar with the novel, in a brief summary it’s about the training of the Spartan-IIs and the Covanent attack on the human world Reach. You can pick up the novel at the Bungie Store for more Covanent ass kicking!

Spike TV will have a first glance into Halo: Reach with a first world premiere video from the opening of the game. Catch this at 8:00 PM EST on December 12, 2009. Until then, check out the promotion for it below:

Modern Warfare 2 sets Preorder record

mw2boxartGamestop has now set a new record for most preordered game, and no, this time it was not a halo game.  In fact it is Infinity Ward’s most hyped game, Modern Warefare 2.  According to Tony Bartel, executive vice president for GameStop. “As of today, the number of pre-order reservations we’ve taken for the game is the highest for any title we’ve ever sold in our 6,200 store network.”

Modern Warefare 2 is Set to release next Tuesday I am sure it will be a busy day, with many stores opening to sell the game at midnight.  I myself have not preordered the game but I am going to pick it up on Tuesday, there is no doubt about that.   For more information, be sure to check out this article in USA Today.

All we wanna do is eat your brains!

left-4-dead-2Let me begin by saying I absolutely love Left 4 Dead. There is just something about blasting zombies as you and some friends frantically try to escape each level that makes me smile. For me it’s an incredibly fun game, and now a year later Valve is releasing a sequel! It’s worth mentioning that some fans of the original title were a little less than happy with Valve for coming out with another game so quickly, but in my opinion they have changed enough things and added enough new features to warrant a full release.

Those who pre-ordered the title at a few select retailers were given the chance to Read the rest of this entry »
