And it is coming very soon actually, as in this Thursday. Army of Two: The 40th Day is a squeal to EA’s first game in the series Army of Two. In the demo, players will be allowed to play the first level of the game, continuing the story about the two-man private military team of Salem and Rios. In the first level of the game, players will find themselves trapped in Shanghai as it falls under attack. Following the same gameplay as the first game in the series, players must work together with a partner (either coopertive online or with a computer player) to shoot their way through enemies and help each other survive through teamwork.
Army of Two: The 40th Day is set for release on January 13, but until then, be sure to check out the Xbox Live Marketplace for the demo. Also for more information about this upcoming game, be sure to check out the press release and/or the Army of Two: The 40th Day website!
Turn your TVs to Spike TV tonight to watch the 2009 Video Game Awards. This year we’ll be seeing an exclusive trailer for Halo: Reach among some other new titles! If you happen to be at Washington State University, then the channel is 59 (Go Cougs!), but my hunch is you’re not so look up what station Spike is on in your TV listings if you don’t know already. Let the awards begin!
This month’s will feature Left 4 Dead 2 and will take place on December 27, 2009, between 5 PM and 8 PM PST.
Check out the post by Peench at PGL: The Invasion is an event where gamers who know what gaming is about and simply want to have fun can all get together and have fun gaming. There will be loads of different rooms to hop in and out to meet other cool gamers and have a few hours of gaming fun without having to instantly mute everyone in the room.
Keep your eyes peeled across various comunity sites as more information is revealed and save the 12/27/09 date on your calendar for some gaming fun!
About the Invasion (From Deacon Blade):
The voice of those who aren’t pleased with behavior on Xbox Live is growing and I wanted to create an avenue bigger than just finding a friend of a friend of a friend…hence the reason why The Invasion began.
I wanted to coordinate a huge gaming night for as many communities as possible and it worked. There were over 23 communities involved in the first attack and they all left thinking it was amazing to play with people who weren’t shouting racism around or stupid profanities etc.
It was one big night of making friends and gaming with complete strangers…one big night of everyone letting their hair down.
Since the holiday season is upon us and we’re acting like good boys and girls so Santa listens to our wishes, I have made a Halo remix to the classic song “12 Days of Christmas.” I realize I am in no way a great song writer and I don’t think John Mayer will be hitting me up for lyrics anytime soon, but here it is:
On the first day of Christmas

Pogre acting like he’s MLG.
On the second day of Christmas

2 bad respawns
and Pogre acting like he’s MLG.

If you’re one of those gamers who enjoys using in-game exploits to kill your enemy with an extremely unfair and inhumane advantage, then you might want to pay attention to this…
The infamous “Javelin Glitch” that haunts Modern Warfare 2 has been addressed by Infinity Ward and they are looking into solutions to fix it. In the meantime, the Xbox LIVE Enforcement Team will be banning any players who are caught using this exploit. Here’s the statement straight from Stepto, Director of Policy and Enforcement for Xbox LIVE via Twitter:
While IW works on getting the MW2 glitch fixed, people we catch using it will recieve suspensions from LIVE. Play fair everyone. :>
If you want more insight on this policy, listen to Major Nelson’s show this week since Stepto will be discussing how exploiting a glitch is considered cheating. Play nice, kids.
You’ve got your favorite games on a shirt, toys and props from them too. Now you can bring out the animal lover in your avatar by purchasing him or her a pet from the Avatar Marketplace. They roll out tomorrow and you can check out all the details here.
“Who didn’t wish for a cute puppy for the holidays? Or maybe you’re more of a bird person? Have you always wanted a pony to call your own? So maybe your building doesn’t allow pets, but now your Avatar on Xbox 360 can have them!” - Official Press Release
