Which Platform is your Fantasy on?
Posted by Kiki Lewis in DS, News on May 28, 2010
I am not a true-blue Final Fantasy player, but I do enjoy playing it. I loved it when I played the MMO beta for FF XI (I think that is which number it was) see.. I can’t even be sure which number is the correct one, I would make a horrible FF fan-girl!
But.. I am seriously thinking about picking up this one for the DS. I think I could really get into playing it on the DS and not have it mess up my 360 playing time.
With FINAL FANTASY: THE 4 HEROES OF LIGHT, the FINAL FANTASY series is rendered anew as an epic storybook adventure by the creators of the FINAL FANTASY III and FINAL FANTASY IV Nintendo DS remakes. Players will enter a beautiful fairy-tale world featuring illustrations and character designs by acclaimed character designer Akihiko Yoshida (FINAL FANTASY III for DS, FINAL FANTASY XII).

The Xbox Community is vast and spans across many outlets ranging from Xbox.com, Twitter, Facebook, etc. It can be hard to get yourself involved in the community. All the information and bits of advice you read below is straight out of my personal experience with being more actively involved with the Xbox Community over the last six years. I’ve had many successes and many fails, but I’ve taken something from every experience I’ve had and learned from it. I’m warning you now, this a lengthy read. But if you’re the type of person who’s wondering “How can I do more?”, read on! Read the rest of this entry »

The Wild West – Read Dead Redemption
The Wild West, a land of opportunity, crime, and exploitation. Many flock with the ideology of Manifest Destiny in their minds, but few prosper from their hopes of striking it big. Well that’s about to change with Rockstar’s latest title, Red Dead Redemption.
Now this game has been somewhat under the radar during development, but it’s made a huge mark in the gaming world. Imagine the shenanigans and open-world choices of GTA IV… now just put that in a western theme and you have Red Dead Redemption. I love this game so much, I even gave myself a cowboy name and named my stallion.
You can’t just judge a man by his name and his horse, but only his actions. So for the rest of this article, I’ll refer to the adventures of my myself with my cowboy name, Uncle Twinkletoes, and my mighty stallion, Gravy Biscuits.

Holy Mother of Frackin Bajeebus!
Posted by Kiki Lewis in Reviews, Xbox on May 23, 2010
This is what I yelled numerous times while playing the game Alan Wake. Seriously, you are casually walking along the darkened forest with just a flashlight and a handgun when out of nowhere these murderous ax murdering murderers jump out at you from behind a tree, or from out of nowhere and try to murder you! My poor puppy was sitting up and alert ready to save me from what ever invisible murderous foes were after me since I was screaming so much!
But, I am having a blast playing this game. The story is awesome and the suspense definitely keeps me on the edge of my beanbag chair! I am pretty sure I will have to play it again a second time because I know I am missing picking up some pages and coffee thing-a-ma-jobs because I get distracted when an ax murderer is chasing me and get turned around and forget where I was and where I am going!
One last thing… while playing to the game I am finding that I am talking back to the characters. I will say things such as.. “please continue what you are saying while I loot your kitchen for a coffee thermos”, and “OH MY FRAKING GAWD! You scared the bajeebus out of me!” and “Really, that’s a fascinating story”. So anytime I find the need to respond back to the characters in a game, I know it is good. If I didn’t want to listen to them or interact with them I would frantically be looking for a ‘skip’ button.. with this game I wasn’t. I wanted to experience all of what was going on.
I mean, c’mon! Books, and videogames, and ax murderers all in one package? Right up my alley! For sure!
Google Pacman?
Posted by xboxking in BTG, I thought this was cool, PC on May 21, 2010
For the 30th anniversary of Pacman, Google did somthing really cool. Google is known for having special Google pictures for holidays and events. Well, today Google has a playable Pacman game on the site in the shape of Google. Yes, you heard me, you can actually play it. All the ghosts, the fruit, and everything is there. They even give you three lives. I’m guessing today is the only day you’ll get to play it so get playing. Also, if you get a gameover, there is a “insert coin” button by the search button. I thought that was a nice touch.
I think this has to be the coolest thing Google ever did on the homepage. So, get playing! What are you waiting for. The game’s on the Google homepage.
