This week in Xbox Live Arcade –
This week we finally get to play Wallace and Gromit Episode 2 on the XBLA. The 4 part series has already been released for the PC. I’ll spare you the details as I have reviewed this game on here on the site already. However, there is a certain minor difference. Achievements!! It appears to me that this will be an easy 200 as most of the achievements can be picked up in one play through and are story based.
One point I’d like to make. If you like this sort of game, get the first episode and run through that before moving on to the second. You’ll enjoy the story of the series more as well as pick up another easy 200 points. If you get stuck be sure to head over to Telltale’s walk through for help. Be on the lookout for the rest of the series to make its way onto XBLA in the future.

The bees are gone and the weather has cleared. Telltale Games brings us the third installment in the Wallace and Gromit series with “Muzzled“. When a charity fair turns into a profit fair it’s up to Gromit to expose the operation and up to Wallace to help him out of the predicament he finds himself in and save the day. To me this was the best in the series and if you read a little further I’ll tell you why.
The storyline of this game was what put it up to the top of the series for me. To be completely fair, it could not have done it without the previous two episodes. It also wouldn’t have held this position if I hadn’t played the first two. I said in the last review that it didn’t matter which order you played them in. While the games still stand well enough on their own, I think the full experience will come from playing them in order or at least by playing Episode Two before Three.
Welcome back as Telltale Games revisits 62 West Wallaby Street. We now find Wallace and Gromit set and ready to take a much needed vacation… that is until the rain changes their plans and gives Wallace an idea. Wallace decides to cash in on the misfortune of the rain by bringing the beach to his basement and inviting the town to join in on the fun. This seems like a good idea at first. A few oversights and set of dogs that have a knack for puttiong on a show for their owner complicate things. Wallace then finds himself frantically trying to please his guests so they don’t leave the resort and force him to refund the money he’s already spent. Once the woes of each guest are sorted out, one of them is attacked. No one is going anywhere until the perps are brought to justice. It’s obvious who did it. Although, it’s not obvious just how you are going to prove it.
Telltale Games first installment of their episodic gaming experience is one of a kind. It’s a wild ride through West Wallaby Street and Wallace has a vision and all the gadgets to make some money. It’s up to you to figure out how to clean up the mess along the way.
To get the basics out of the way I’ll give you quick rundown of the series. Grand Adventures is going to be a total of 4 separate games. Each game stands on its own but relates to the others much like a TV series. Each game will star the main characters along with some new ones. So think of it like you are the star in your own television series. I’d recommend checking out our podcast with Telltale games to get the scoop. Read the rest of this entry »
